Fantasy adventure game The Inquisitor from the Polish studio The Dust will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam) in the fourth quarter of 2023.
This was announced by the company Kalypso Media, which decided to act as the publisher of the project. Along with this, a new gameplay trailer for the adventure game was published.
The Inquisitor is a third—person action adventure set in a dark medieval setting. The game is based on the novels of the Polish writer Jacek Pekara.
In the world described in his books, Jesus did not die crucified — instead, he came down from the cross and drowned evil in his own blood.
Throughout the following centuries, the Order of Inquisitors zealously monitors the observance of religious laws.
Fifteen hundred years after the crucifixion, the main character of the game, Inquisitor Mordimer Madderdin, goes to the city of Koenigstein to investigate a series of crimes, punish sinners and strengthen faith in God.
The hero will have to decide the fate of many people who betrayed the faith, as well as meet with evil, which is trying to penetrate the world from another reality.
