The developer recalled that four years ago at The Game Awards 2018 they managed to keep the announcement of Mortal Kombat 11 a secret and perform well.

In light of recent rumors, many assumed that the studio would repeat the same trick at the upcoming awards, but Boone noted that they are not ready to show their new game yet, thanking fans for waiting.

At the end of last month, Boone suddenly revealed that the next NetherRealm project would be Mortal Kombat 12 or Injustice 3, however, there is a possibility that the developer is just leading players by the nose.

Anyway, The Game Awards 2022 promises to be rich in other major announcements and demonstrations.

At least they should show Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Diablo IV, Final Fantasy XVI and a remake of Dead Space.
