Apple Arcade gaming service has reportedly surpassed the milestone of 100 million subscribers, leaving PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass far behind.

The Cupertino company prefers to remain silent when it comes to disclosing statistics of users of its digital services, but instead of it, the director of the subsidiary studio SEGA - Sports Interactive, Miles Jacobson, let slip about the success of Apple Arcade.

Recently, SEGA and Sports Interactive released a mobile port of the football Manager simulator Football Manager 2023 Touch in Apple Arcade, thanks to which Jacobson hopes to reach a "nine-digit number of subscribers" and attract a large audience to the game.

Jacobson clarified that he "has no idea" whether this figure is true or not, but if it really is, then Apple Arcade more than doubles PS Plus with its 45.4 million subscribers (according to Statista).

"The one thing we're most proud of is pretty weird for this, but it's how we can reach a new audience through Apple Arcade.

They tell me about nine-digit subscribers, but I have no idea if this is true or not." As for Xbox Game Pass and Nintendo Switch Online, their gap with Apple Arcade is even stronger.

According to analyst Derek Strickland, both services currently have 25+ and 36+ million users, respectively.

Apple Arcade was launched in September 2019 and is supported on a wide range of Apple devices, including iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and Apple TV set-top box.

The monthly fee for access to the service is $ 5.
