The port for the Sony console was postponed just a few days before the release scheduled for next week.

The reason was "unforeseen complications" that arose in the process of providing the game to the platform holder for approval for release.

Sports Interactive director Miles Jacobson said that the studio will do everything in its power to ensure that Football Manager 2023 gets into the hands of PS5 users as soon as possible.

The developers will share new information on this issue at the first convenient opportunity.

The situation is also saddened by the fact that Football Manager 2023 was supposed to mark the return of the series to the PlayStation after a long break.

The last game released on Sony consoles was Football Manager 2014 for PS Vita. Other versions of Football Manager 2023 will be released as planned without delay.

On November 8, the game will appear on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, PC and in the Apple Arcade subscription service.
