For the release of Forza Horizon 5 in 2021, Microsoft has prepared an Xbox controller in a thematic design.
Now the manufacturer of Thrustmaster accessories has presented its own gamepad based on the Playground Games race.
Although the Thrustmaster version of the controller turned out to be not so bright and catchy, the company implemented one unique feature in it in the form of a replaceable module with a racing mini-wheel that can be swapped with analog sticks or a crosspiece.
The idea is that this module should feel closer to a racing steering wheel than to a regular stick.
According to the manufacturer, the mini-wheel has a non-slip surface, a re-centering system and a 95° rotation angle, which will provide a new level of immersion with precise control over turns and drift.
The gamepad also uses ultra-sensitive mechanical buttons, which, according to Thrustmaster, are 64% faster than standard membrane-based buttons, have a trigger distance reduced to 0.3 mm and are able to withstand 2 million clicks.
Finally, with the ThrustmapperX software, users will be able to adjust the sensitivity and other parameters of sticks, mini-wheels and triggers.
The controller will be compatible with Windows and Xbox, the cost will be $ 200.
