The Silent Hill 2 remake announced tonight does not even have an approximate release window yet, but it has already acquired detailed system requirements on the PC.
According to the project page on Steam, to play a modern interpretation of Konami's cult horror at medium-low settings in 1080p / 30 FPS, players will need at least Core i5-8400, GeForce GTX 1080 and 12 GB of RAM.
The recommended configuration, including Core i7-8700K, GeForce RTX 2080 and 16 GB of RAM, will allow you to run a project with medium or high graphics quality at 60 and 30 frames per second, respectively.
The resolution in both cases will also have to be limited to native 1080p or choose 4K using DLSS. To install, you will need to prepare 50 GB of free disk space.
The remake of Silent Hill 2 is being developed by the authors of the psychological thriller The Medium from the Polish studio Bloober Team.
In addition to PC, the game will also launch on PlayStation 5, where it will have a 12-month console exclusivity.
