Xbox Series S should last a long time

The question of whether the Xbox Series S will be able to stay afloat as long as the current generation exists has been raised more than once.

Although some believe that Microsoft's junior console is weak and constrains game development, there are those who do not think so.

For example, Paulo Luis Santos, game director of the indie studio Flux Games, which recently released the fighting game Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising, said in an interview with GamingBolt that, in his opinion, there are enough reasons for the difference between the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and that the latter should "hold out for a long time".

"I believe that the buyer who buys the Xbox Series S knows that it does not have the same characteristics as the Xbox Series X, and, as a rule, it suits him, so it should not be a big problem if it is slightly different from its more powerful counterpart."

"At the same time, I think that in general, the Xbox Series S should last long enough, but since technology is developing at a rapid pace, it is very difficult to predict how long its life cycle will be."

At the moment, everything that is available on the Xbox Series X also comes out on the Xbox Series S - this is Microsoft's mandatory requirement for the release of games on its platform.

Whether this will become a serious problem in the future, time will tell.
