Need for Speed: Unbound has been in the hands of gamers for several days, and for the most part Criterion Games managed to avoid technical problems with the game at the start, which is rare for multiplatform releases now.

This is confirmed by the Digital Foundry report. Experts have tested a new race.

The game turned out to be devoid of serious bugs, and the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions have their advantages.

On both consoles, the project works in dynamic 4K resolution at 60 frames per second and in dynamic 1440p at the same 60 frames per second on the Xbox Series S.

There is no choice of graphical options on any of the platforms. The XSX and PS5 give out a resolution close to native 4K most of the time, although the XSX has a slight advantage in this regard.

The zoom range on the XSX is from 2016p to 2160p, and most often we are talking about full 4K, while the PS5 version works in the range from 1800p to 2160p with an average value of about 1944p.

At the same time, the lower dynamic resolution on the PS5 provides an advantage in terms of performance, due to which the game demonstrates almost perfect 60 FPS with rare drawdowns for a couple of frames.

On XSX, the game also mostly adheres to 60 FPS, however, it is quite often accompanied by failures of 1-2 frames, and during intense night races with strong weather effects, drawdowns of up to 40 FPS can occur.

In the case of XSS, the average resolution is 1296p with the same performance as on the older brother.
