...my editor has informed me that I still need to finish up this blog post. Drat. Maybe I can just tell you a little about what stops I have planned for my Realms vacation and we can call it even?
PARKOURSE PARTY

First we’ve got to party of course. And if there’s one thing I know about Parkourse Parties it’s that they’re incomparable to other parties due to the fact they do not cease to exist. Well, or at least after I went and yelled at the developers to include an unlimited time mode for the level construction phase, so I could build a mega tough parkour course (get it?) for my fellow content coordinator Andreas to suffer through. Remember, abuse of your power is always justified if it leads to longer and sweeter parkour experiences.
CTF ORIGINS

While on a trip I like to take in the history of the culture I’m visiting. Who doesn’t love a good origin story? Hollywood surely does, with how they’re going back to this generous well repeatedly with reboots of franchises such as Spiderman, Batman, Manspider, and Sharkalligatorman. So why can’t we reboot one of our own minigames, namely Capture The Flag? If you want to know the lore behind why the flag so longs for capture, I’m gonna say it’s not impossible to extract that information from playing this excellent take on the classic concept of flag thievery.
TRIBUTE

I generally like my Realms maps to ask more questions than they answer. What/who is this map a tribute to? Is it a play for modesty, saying that this is not the greatest map ever, but merely a tribute? No, that seems silly. The proof is in the pudding; and operating within that veil of nonsense the pudding is also an imposing statue, pointing its sword towards the main island of this homely archipelago. What’s great about this is that the map is set to Survival, so you can just run up to the statue and slap a sign with your name on the sucker, and tribute yourself!

With the latest Minecraft update (the “Goat Update” as I call it), a lot of our maps have broken due to the changes in the commands. Our mapmakers are hard at work patching up their maps to be functional, so if your favorite map is currently broken there is a chance a new version will be uploaded soon! I would also like to take this opportunity to give a shoutout to our mapmaker community member Misode who created a data pack upgrader that allowed our mapmakers to easily convert the old command syntax into the new!
