Electronic Arts has completely removed 22 content related to Russia from the FIFA football simulator.

The changes came into effect in the new patch. The update removed the national team, the Otkritie Bank Arena stadium, as well as Spartak, Lokomotiv and CSKA clubs, and all elements of customization of stadiums with Russian themes.

If the Russian national team or any other Russian club was chosen as the favorite team, it will automatically change to PSG. At the same time, Russian football players playing for foreign teams are still available.

In March EA expressed support for Ukraine and initiated the process of exclusion of Russian teams from FIFA 22 in accordance with the sanctions imposed on them by FIFA and UEFA organizations.

Initially, the restriction was imposed only on the Ultimate Team mode, and now it was extended to the entire game.

The update has already been released on the PC and will later appear on consoles.
