ELDEN RING from FromSoftware has set a new record for the number of "Game of the Year" awards received, GamesRadar+ informs.

As of January 3, it was named the best game of 2022 324 times — this includes both ratings from the press and the results of user votes on major sites.

The calculation is carried out on ResetEra forums, where Russian resources are also taken into account. The previous record holder was The Last of Us

Part II produced by Naughty Dog — in 2020 she collected 322 awards, beating The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from CD Projekt RED.

It is expected that ELDEN RING will increase the gap from the PlayStation exclusive within a month, since not all portals have managed to sum up their results of the year to date.

However, it can already be called the most awarded game in history. God of War Ragnarok has collected 74 "Game of the Year" awards by the end of 2022.

It is followed by IMMORTALITY with 6 awards, Pentiment with 4 awards and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 with 4 awards. Plague Tale:

Requiem has 3 awards so far.
