Square Enix has unveiled the release trailer for the upcoming Japanese RPG Final Fantasy XVI.
It demonstrates the beginning of a dramatic storyline that will unfold in a new world for the series called Valistea.
The trailer gives an idea of the first steps of the main character Clive Rosfield on the path that will force him to take up a sword to confront his cruel fate.
Earlier, the developers said that before the start of production they watched the series "Game of Thrones" to recreate a similar atmosphere in Final Fantasy XVI.
The game is released on June 22 exclusively on PlayStation 5. DLC is not planned yet.
There won't be a patch of the first day either — Final Fantasy XVI doesn't need it.
