Halo: Infinite has not achieved Microsoft's financial goals. The journalist Brad Sams told about this in a new video, discussing the latest news related to 343 Industires.

He stated that he had heard from several people that the recent departure of Chapter 343i Bonnie Ross was a consequence of a Microsoft-organized restructuring in the studio's management after another failure to meet deadlines with new content and the rescheduling of the third season of multiplayer.

Family problems were cited as the official reason for Ross's departure.

According to Sams, launching Halo: Infinite, Microsoft had the idea that they would be able to create their own live service similar to Destiny and Fortnite, but the studio made a mistake in choosing to release a minimum viable product and then constantly expand its scope, which consumed more money and created a hole in financial resources that could be distributed more efficiently.

Recall that instead of Ross to the position of head of the studio was appointed production manager Pierre Hintze.

Under his leadership, work will continue on Halo: Infinite, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and future projects will be created.

Brian Kosky, in turn, has taken over as CEO of the franchise, and Elizabeth Van Wyk will now oversee business and operations.

Also out of the 343 Industires was a senior technical engineer, David Berger, who was responsible for the Slipspace Engine.
