If you did not play the original, it is better not to read further. In the original The Last of Us, closer to the end, the protagonist Joel faced a difficult choice.

He could either sacrifice Ellie's life and allow her to be experimented on in the hope of finding a cure for the virus that destroyed humanity, or save her and escape from the headquarters of the Cicadas.

As you know, Joel chose to save Ellie. This storyline has been preserved in the remake, but some changes have been made to it.

First, the model of the doctor's character who was going to do Ellie's surgery was replaced by Abby's father, Jerry, from the sequel.

In addition, the authors slightly changed the dialogue in the final, when Joel faced a hostile doctor and eventually killed him.

In the original, the doctor said, "Don't come any closer," while in the remake, the phrase was replaced by, "I won't let you take it."

There are no other story changes in the updated version, but at the same time new trophies appeared.

There is no precise list of achievements, so details should be awaited with the lifting of the embargo on 31 August.

The game itself is released on September 2 on the PlayStation 5 and should later appear on the PC.
