2K Games has abandoned plans to release Marvel's Midnight Suns turn-based superhero tactics on the Nintendo Switch.

This became known along with the announcement of the release date of the game on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.

According to the announcement, the Firaxis Games studio project will be available on May 11, but only in digital format. There will be no disc release.

The reason for the cancellation of Midnight Suns for the Nintendo hybrid console is not specified.

In a press release, 2K Games only stated that the Switch version of the game is no longer included in their updated plans.

On May 11, the release of the fourth and last post-release DLC called Blood Storm will also take place.

The add-on will be available for a separate purchase or as part of a season pass and will offer a new playable hero - Storm from the X-Men.

Along with it, three new story missions will become available.

Marvel's Midnight Suns was released on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC back in December and was generally well received by critics, but 2K Games was disappointed with the game's sales.
