Bohemia, a company known to players from Arma 3 and DayZ, presented the science fiction project Silica.
An exciting mix of first-person shooter and real-time strategy offers to fight for control of the planet Baltarus as a commander, or a paratrooper alone or a group of friends.
Moving around the planet is not limited to walking. Characters can control any available equipment, including a colossal combine harvester, a fast light ATV and a siege tank.
As an opponent or one of the subordinate factions, there are insect-like aliens with a collective mind.
Players will move virtual consciousness between creatures such as an invisible Crab, an agile Hunter or an armored Goliath.
The developers promise a first— and third-person shooter, six unique locations, three exciting modes, a single and multiplayer game with up to 12 people in strategic mode and up to 32 in Arena mode.
When playing for humans, 5 classes and 11 vehicles will be available, for aliens — the ability to switch between 8 different individuals. The debut trailer can be viewed below.
The release of Silica in early access Steam will take place "soon". The full version will be released on PC within a year.
