Among the indie games, you can sometimes find rather unusual work. A recent example is the two -dimensional adventure of Scarlet Deer Inn.
The project combines Slavic folklore, the setting of medieval Europe and the colorful style inspired by the works of the GHIBLI Japanese studio, and its feature is the animization method using real embroidery.
The whole character in the game is first firmly embroidered on a typewriter, and then scan and glued in the program to get moving models with unique style.
In addition, the backs in the game are also drawn manually, and traditional instruments are used to record the soundtrack inspired by old folk music.
In terms of the plot, this will be a story about Eliza, the mother of two children, with whom a certain incident occurs, forced her to go on a journey through places full of all unusual, interesting, as well as dark and sinister.
The project creates a small Czech studio Attu Games. The release date has not yet been reported, but there is already a page on Steam.
