An insider Im A Hero Too from ResetEra forums urged players not to expect advanced graphics on Unreal Engine 5 from the Final Fantasy IX remake with a picture like in the Final Fantasy IX: Memoria Project fan demonstration.

He noted that this project is not a high-budget one. "Lower your expectations.

This is not a high-budget Unreal Engine 5 project with ray tracing and other bells and whistles.

Everything looks "prettier", works faster, the models have been remade," wrote Im A Hero Too, responding to users who hoped to get a remake of the Final Fantasy VII Remake level.

The insider added that at the moment the remake of Final Fantasy IX looks finished and fully ready for release.

Presumably, they originally wanted to release it last summer, but Square Enix's release schedule was already crowded, and now the company needs to promote Final Fantasy XVI and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Im A Hero Too also claims that Final Fantasy IX will receive an animated film and series. It is not yet known when the game will be revealed.
