Siger Miyamoto commented on the question of when a new game about Mario is presented.
About this, the game designer was asked in an interview with Variety as part of the press tour of the cartoon Super Mario Bros. Movie .
Miyamoto laughed for such a question and said that all that he can say now is to call fans to follow the future nintendo direct .
"I can’t say anything in advance, but we spend Nintendo Direct every two to three months, so please wait," he added.
The last big new game about Mario was Super Mario Odyssey , released at Switch back in October 2017.
Over the past six years, Nintendo has released many remasters and ports of the previous parts of the Mario series, including New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe , Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury . Also during this time, Switch received a number of spin-offs, including youshi's Crafted World , Luigi's Mansion 3 , Paper Mario: The Origami King and super mario maker 2 .
Super Mario Bros. Movie starts in the cinemas of the USA and on the world April 5 .
