The remake of Resident Evil 4 received a free mode of The Mercenaries and microtransactions

Capcom has unveiled a release trailer for The Mercenaries mode for the remake of Resident Evil 4.

"Mercenaries" is an arcade mode where players are invited to compete with each other for a place in the global leader board, fighting against dangerous hordes of enemies.

The original Resident Evil 4 opened The Mercenaries mode immediately after completing the main campaign, but in the case of the remake, Capcom decided to release it two weeks after the release of the game as a free downloadable add-on.

In addition, the first players noted that the "Mercenaries" from the RE4 remake lacks Ada Wong and Albert Wesker as playable characters that were available in the original.

Also, along with the mode, the project quietly received microtransactions implemented in the form of coupons for special weapon upgrades that allow players to progress faster in the main campaign.
