Phoenix Interactive studio was once preparing to create a three-dimensional platformer Rayman 4, but then the game was canceled, and the developments were allowed to spin-off Rayman Raving Rabbids.
Later, the source code of the project was posted online, and now anyone can get acquainted with it.
Initially, the build was published on 4chan, where players could find unfinished levels, enemies and several costumes.
Interestingly, the content included a level editor, but later the files were removed from the site.
Some thought that, as usual, a fake with a loud name was presented on 4chan — users noticed that one of the levels parodies Splinter Cell, and the build of the game is dated 2008.
At the same time, the main character's girlfriend and Rayman's "naked" costume, which appeared in Rayman Legends, were found in the game.
However, at one of the levels, the character straddled a huge spider, which could be seen in the official trailer of the fourth part.
The online version also contains several levels, in one of which the protagonist is transferred inside a rabbit robot.
