The battle with the ghosts will begin in March: Koei Tecmo announced the release date of the remaster Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse

The remaster of the Japanese horror film Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, announced in September, will be released on all modern platforms on March 9, 2023, Koei Tecmo announced in a press release distributed through media channels.

Like the updated version of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water (our review), Fatal Frame:

Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will be available in Western markets only in digital format, while residents of Japan and Asia will be able to buy it on physical media for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

There will also be a collector's edition in Japan, a gift-wrapped edition with an official soundtrack on disk and files with images of characters.

For pre-order, customers will receive bonus costumes, including the clothes of the heroines from Dead or Alive.

New review trailer:In the center of the plot of Fatal Frame 4 is the abduction of five girls by a serial killer.

They are rescued, but 10 years after the incident, two girls die under mysterious circumstances.

The remaining ones go to the meeting place with the maniac and try to investigate the mystery of their abduction. The original game was released in 2008 exclusively on Wii, but never left Japan.

In the remaster, the developers improved the graphics, updated the character models and implemented a photo mode.
