A remake of the cult fantasy game System Shock may be released in March 2023. Such a release window was noticed on the long-term construction page on Steam.

The publishing house Prime Matter and developers from Night dive Studios do not give official comments.

Previously, they postponed the release dates of the remake several times, but during the last presentations they did not make any promises on new dates.

In the remake of System Shock, the player will take control of an unnamed hacker who was sent to the Citadel space station owned by TriOptimum Corporation.

The task is to stop the rebellious AI called SHODAN. She has taken control of all systems and can destroy humanity, causing "insects" to suffer.

The project will offer updated graphics and improved gameplay. However, the developers promise to preserve the spirit of the series.

In September, the remake sharply rose in price.
