The Initiative CTO Tyler Thornock's LinkedIn profile continues to provide fresh information on the new Perfect Dark for Xbox Series X|S and PC.

From the developer's page, it was previously revealed that the project may not be a restart of the series, as was originally thought, but a remake. In addition, the summary mentions that when developing the new Perfect Dark, the team uses MetaHuman technology on Unreal Engine 5, which allows you to quickly create highly detailed three-dimensional models of people with photorealistic faces.

Last month, Ninja Theory showcased MetaHuman's capabilities with their upcoming action-adventure game Senua's Saga: Hellblade II.

According to his current job description, Thornock was involved in the development of Maya's pipeline of animation, rigging, and character rendering tools, as well as working on integrating MetaHuman faces into this pipeline and improving the deformation of major body parts, with particular attention to the arms.

A reboot or remake of Perfect Dark is being developed in collaboration with Crystal Dymamics and does not even have a tentative release date yet. According to the media, the game will not appear soon.
