The upcoming relaunch of Pieces Interactive's Alone in the Dark is likely to receive a playable teaser prologue.

VideoGamer was able to obtain several new information about the upcoming Survival Horror at Gamescom 2022, including that the playable teaser shown at the exhibition will be later released in the public domain.

In a conversation with a representative of the portal, producer Michael Pack said:"We do not know whether it will be before the release or next year. First we need to see how things turn out.

But, of course, a lot of work has been done. ”

The prologue is effectively separated from the main game, offering a story behind Grace's third character, exploring the ill-fated Derseto estate before Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood get there.

The portal also received some more interesting information about the game. The duration of the new Alone in the Dark is likely to be about 12 hours.

In addition, although comparisons with Resident Evil seem obvious, the developers stated that their project would not get too close to the more action-oriented parts of the series.

"This is not Resident Evil 4," they said, assuring fans that the shootouts in Alone in the Dark would be reduced to "battles in despair" to maintain high tension.

The authors will talk about this in more detail later. Rebut Alone in the Dark does not have a release date yet.

The game was announced two weeks ago during the presentation of THQ Nordic. The first details can be found here and here.
