The title of the scariest video game went to a project that does not belong to one of the most popular horror franchises, like Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

The British company BroadbandChoices conducted a scientific experiment in which 200 participants were asked to familiarize themselves with random episodes of 45 games of the "horror" genre.

The rating on both indicators was headed by the psychological horror MADiSON from the studio Bloodius Games, which tells about a teenager who got a camera that once belonged to a serial killer.

According to statistics, the average heart rate in this game was 97, while the largest jump was recorded at 131 beats per minute. "Alien: Isolation, Skin, Five Nights at Freddy's 4.

Three games of the Resident Evil series — Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil: Village — took 6th, 11th and 16th places.
