Players have already tried out Capcom's new multiplayer experiment in the Resident Evil franchise and expressed disappointment. The average rating does not reach 50%.

Currently, Resident Evil Re has a digital distribution service Steam:Verse has over a thousand mixed reviews.

Players scold the project primarily for the lack of a PvE mode, monotony, broken balance and problematic matchmaking, as well as a small amount of content and the need to register a Capcom ID account.

However, some believe that the project should be given a chance and it has potential that should be developed by adding new maps and characters.

"We need a remake of Outbreak, not a mobile battle royale. We need a remaster of Outbreak, not a donat joke with a bad network code.

We need "at least on PC" Outbreak, not another Umbrella Corps. Hell, even in Resistance it was more fun to play, because there was an idea there, although the execution was always at zero.

Why the release was postponed (the game was supposed to be released together with the 8th part) is not entirely clear.

It looks cheap, without ideas and with a taste of Korean outsourcers," the player wrote. "There is not enough depth in the gameplay of Resident Evil to justify turning it into a PvP game.

This is demonstrated by the extreme simplicity of Re:Verse. Even in Project Resistance there was more depth.

Listen to the fans who are asking for a new Resident Evil Outbreak instead of trying to offer competitive games to a wide audience," the review says. "Another failure of the multiplayer Resident Evil.

Make Resident Evil: Outbreak 3 or a good Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City," another user notes.

As for the statistics of players, the maximum online game for six days was 2,115 people, but it is rapidly declining.

For comparison, Resident Evil Resistance at its peak attracted twice as many people on Steam — over 4,000 people.
