The developers of Mortal Kombat 1 hint at the appearance of two sought-after characters

Reptile and Rain may be the next officially announced characters for the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 fighting game.

Hints about their addition to the roster as playable fighters or Cameo characters have been posted on social media by NetherRealm Studios CEO Ed Boon and Warner Bros. Games Corey Taylor.

The latter, in his cryptic message, mentioned corrosive faces, which may be a reference to Reptile, who has the ability to spit acid, and during the execution of a fatality, releases an acid stream that literally corrodes the faces of opponents.

Interestingly, in the previously leaked list of fighters, Reptile is indicated, but Rain is not mentioned. Mortal Kombat 1 releases September 19 on PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S.
