Fallen Dynasty will offer 17 types of weapons and more than 40 armor options

As part of an interview with IGN First, the developers of the upcoming action game Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty said that the game includes many different types of weapons and armor.

In the demo version, fans could see single and paired swords, a glaive and a bow and arrow. According to game director Masakazu Hirayama, there are also a staff, an axe, a spear and a saber.

In total, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will offer 17 types of weapons — 13 for melee and 3 for ranged combat.

In their choice, the developers tried to build on the setting and make sure that the weapons presented were better suited for Chinese martial arts.

Despite the fact that some types, such as paired swords, are easier to master, the game will maintain a balance between all types of weapons.

At the same time, the developers will allow you to go through Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty entirely without changing the option you like.

However, from the point of view of game design, such a solution is less preferable, since opponents and their attack patterns are sharpened for certain skills.

Weapons and armor are improved by the blacksmith for money and materials. Passive status, including dealing increased damage and providing treatment, can be transferred from one weapon to another.

In total, you can pick up more than 40 sets of armor in the game, each of which has its own set of bonuses. Transmogrification is also available in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be released on March 3, 2023 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC. The game will be available to subscribers of the Game Pass service on the day of release.
