Final Fantasy XVI will be released on PlayStation 5 in a few days.

There is no official news about the PC port yet, but the developers also have plans for it, and the game's producer Naoki Yoshida recently commented on this on the stream in honor of the upcoming release.

During the broadcast, Yoshida announced his intention to provide the best possible opportunities for Final Fantasy XVI on PC, using the implementation of seamless loading achieved on PlayStation 5.

The desire to properly optimize the project for the platform was one of the main reasons why it does not come to PC simultaneously with the console version.

It's not the first time Yoshida has raised the issue of the FFXVI version for PC.

Although there is no official confirmation of the port yet, Sony has repeatedly mentioned that the game has a temporary exclusivity period for PlayStation 5 for a period of six months, which leaves the possibility for release on other platforms, as in the case of Final Fantasy VII Remake.

However, a version for the Xbox Series X|S seems unlikely, given that the FFVII remake on Microsoft consoles has not yet been released.

Final Fantasy XVI runs on an adapted version of the Final Fantasy XIV engine, which was also released on PC, so in theory there should not be any big difficulties with the port.

During the stream, Yoshida assured viewers that they will tell more about their plans for the PC version when the time comes. The game is released on PlayStation 5 on June 22.
