Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for PlayStation 5 will not require passing the first part of the remake

The official account of Final Fantasy VII on Twitter published a new developer comment about the upcoming sequel to the remake with the subtitle Rebirth.

Co-director Motomu Toriyama confirmed that it is not necessary to play Final Fantasy VII Remake to complete Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

According to him, the developers did Rebirth in such a way that players who did not have time to play the first part of the remake could fully enjoy the continuation without having to get acquainted with the last game.

Earlier, the authors also stated that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is being developed according to schedule and will offer a vast world with a high degree of freedom.

The exact release date is being approved now. The project is being created for PlayStation 5 and will be released this winter.
