The new trailer for Final Fantasy XVI, presented during The Game Awards 2022, confirmed the June release date of the game for PlayStation 5, but on other platforms the release will have to wait longer.
The project was announced in 2020 by PC footage and was initially announced as a temporary PlayStation 5 console exclusive.
Since then, Square Enix has not said anything about the computer version, and the status of the project has changed.
At the end of the new video, a clarifying footnote was added, informing that now Final Fantasy XVI is a full-fledged PlayStation 5 exclusive, which will not be available on other platforms until December 31, 2023.
This means that the release of Final Fantasy XVI on PC will take place at least not earlier than the beginning of 2024.
PS5 owners, in turn, will be able to evaluate the new jRPG starting from June 22 next year.
