Microsoft plans to release games in the series Call of Duty, Diablo and Overwatch in the subscription service Xbox Game Pass after completing the transaction to purchase Activision Blizzard.

The head of Xbox Phil Spencer reported about it in the letter for employees.

The top manager noted that Xbox Game Pass has become the core of Microsoft's strategy in the game segment — this tool is designed to help increase the audience of games on traditional platforms due to the low cost of subscription, and reach a completely new audience through cloud streaming on phones and other modern devices.

Spencer expressed confidence that the Xbox Game Pass will help Activision Blizzard games reach new heights, and they will make the service even more attractive.

Earlier, the head of Xbox confirmed that the games Activision Blizzard, such as Call of Duty, will continue to be released and sold on the PlayStation.

On Xbox, as it is clear from today's letter, Microsoft will use them to promote the subscription service. Microsoft plans to complete the takeover of Activision Blizzard by the summer of 2023.
