Sales of Dead Cells reached 10 million copies

In an interview with GamesIndustry. biz studio Evil Empire said that the circulation of Dead Cells exceeded 10 million copies.

The game was developed by Motion Twin, together with which the company created all the major additions after Rise of the Giant.

Since the release, several successful DLCs have been released, the latest of which at the moment is Return to Castlevania, developed in partnership with Konami.

Despite the fact that Motion Twin handed over the reins to another team in 2019, the game continued to develop. According to the authors, the support will last at least until the end of 2024.

Evil Empire has prepared a roadmap, and is currently working on the "resurrection" of two retro IP, the names of which have not yet been disclosed.

The first project will be released in early access next year, and the launch of the second is scheduled for 2025.
