CD Projekt RED studio has updated the next generation version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on consoles and PCs with a new patch.
Update number 4. 02 is already available for download and is aimed at correcting errors, as well as improving the overall stability and performance of the game.
In the computer version of The Witcher 3, the use of processor cores when playing with DirectX 12 was improved, scattered HBAO shading was restored, and an error related to particle optimization was fixed, which caused short-term frame rate delays.
Changes for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 include an improved performance mode, complaints about poor performance of which appeared after the previous update.
On the flagship Microsoft console, the problem with using memory in ray tracing mode was additionally fixed, due to which there were sometimes crashes from the game earlier.
The developers also added reflections with ray tracing and refraction for reflections in the screen space, so that the water now looks more natural.
Another innovation was the motion blur slider, which can be found in the menu "Settings" - "Video" - "Graphics".
