A petition launched back in 2021 in support of the sequel to the zombie action in the open world Days Gone (our review) from Sony Bend studio continues to attract fans, approaching the mark of 200,000 signatures, writes the publication ComicBook.
Tens of thousands of players have registered under it since the beginning of 2022.
This demonstrates the fans' interest in continuing the game, which Sony Interactive Entertainment bosses decided to abandon at the concept stage.
The creator of the franchise, Jeff Ross, devoted several interviews to this topic. "There are millions of people in the world who want Sony to approve the creation of Days Gone 2.
And I urge them to sign this petition. You can't just abandon the development of a continuation of an amazing game that ended with a cliffhanger," the author of the petition said in a statement.
Earlier, Jeff Ross thanked fans for their attention and urged the audience to support the movement in support of Days Gone 2.
At the same time, he himself no longer works at Sony Bend, explaining that "a lot has changed there, and it just got boring." Today, Days Gone can be played on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
