The remake of Resident Evil 2 entered the Capcom Major League — sales exceeded 10 million copies

The remake of Resident Evil 2 sold more than 10 million copies, announced the company Capcom. This is the fourth game from a Japanese publisher in the last five years with such sales — after Monster Hunter World, Resident Evil 7 and Monster Hunter Rise.

The data is up to date as of July 14 — since February, the remake of Resident Evil 2 has found 700 thousand new customers.

Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil Village remake

sales as of March 31, 2022 — 5.2 and 6.1 million copies accordingly, Capcom expects to further increase the popularity of these and other previously released games in key episodes.

Resident Evil Village will receive new content this fall, while Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 3 were recently adapted for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
