Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition was supposed to be released on mobile platforms in the first half of this year, but as a result, the release window was extended until the end of the current fiscal year.
According to insider Sean Weber, the mobile port of the updated GTA trilogy for iOS and Android will be released in early March 2023.
At the same time, according to him, a larger update for existing versions of the collection will have to be released.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition originally appeared on consoles and PCs in November 2021.
The reissue includes Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas with graphical updates, improved controls and a modified user interface.
However, despite all the improvements, the collection was massively criticized and became one of the lowest-rated releases by players last year, along with eFootball and Battlefield 2042.
Remasters were scolded for the abundance of bugs and controversial visual changes.
Rockstar had to apologize for the problems and release a series of patches, but many shortcomings still remain unresolved. Also, according to rumors, the trilogy may soon appear on Steam.
