The American non-governmental organization Entertainment Software Rating Board, whose main activity is the adoption and determination of ratings for video games, issued an assessment of Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
The game received a teenage rating of "T" (from 13 years old) — the same was the first part.
The description states that this is an action game in which players take control of Peter Parker and Miles Morales, trying to save New York from a new threat.
The characters fight crime, circle around buildings and engage in hand-to-hand fights with enemies: they beat, kick and throw each other during fights.
The main characters can use special attacks, in particular symbiotes and electricity.
Some enemies use pistols and machine guns in battle, blood splashes fly when bullets hit, and cutscenes depict cases of violence.
For example, in one of the videos, a non-player character suffocated, in another an inverted dead body is seen, and drops of blood falling on a piece of paper are also shown.
There are criminal missions in the game, where characters exchange unknown drugs for weapons, and packages with a prohibited substance can also be seen in the trunk of a car.
There are swear words in the speech. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will be released on October 20, 2023 on PS5, pre-orders will open on June 16.
