Striking Distance Studios may be developing a game licensed by Marvel that will revolve around one of the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy team. A rumor about this appeared on Reddit.
A forum user under the nickname BoringWithoutLeaks claims that the project has nothing to do with Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy 2021 action adventure from Eidos Montreal studio and will show a completely different universe with an independent interpretation of the character.
According to BoringWithoutLeaks, in the Striking Distance project, "Guardians will appear everywhere," but the plot and gameplay are focused only on one hero.
It is also reported that the title allegedly focuses on weapon modification and crafting, but the insider does not think that the Star Lord will be the main character — according to his guesses, it could be Gamora or Rocket.
BoringWithoutLeaks does not know when the official announcement or confirmation of the development will take place, but noted that the main stage of production is just beginning and while the game is in a state of concept.
