Konami has announced that the sequel to the action puzzle Super Bomberman R will be available in September 2023.
The release will take place in North America on the 13th, and in Europe and Japan on the 14th. At the same time, the developers showed a fresh trailer and confirmed the presence of a crossplay.
The sequel will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
In addition to the classic mode, players will be waiting for a battle for crystals in the style of a "royal battle" with up to 64 people.
Super Bomberman R2 will also feature a brand new Castle Mode, where players are divided into two teams: defenders and attackers.
The latter need to find the keys and use them to open all the chests on the level, and the first — to protect the treasures.
In addition, players will be able to create their own locations and share them within the mode.
