Coming out next week, the vampire shooter Redfall will receive not only a digital release, but will also be available at retail.
An interesting point arose with this, since the publisher seemed to be going to release a project with support for 60 frames per second until the last moment, but something went wrong.
The fact is that on the photo of the box with the Redfall disc that appeared on the network, there is a mention of 60 FPS in the list of features of the game for the Xbox Series X. At the same time, there is a sticker pasted on the film itself, indicating that "the 60 FPS performance mode will not be available at launch."
Apparently, the decision to release the game at the start only with a quality mode limited to 30 FPS was made after the game was sent to print, and they did not have time to fix the cover.
At the same time, the mention of 60 FPS disappeared almost immediately from the game page in the Microsoft Store. Support for a higher frame rate is promised to be added later in one of the updates.
Redfall is released on May 2. The game is already available for preloading.
