Nintendo and PlatinumGames released a 7-minute gameplay video of Bayonetta 3, a dynamic action game created exclusively for the Nintendo Switch console.

The video focuses on the mechanics of battles for two main characters — Bayonetta and the mysterious young witch Viola.

According to the developers, Bayonetta 3 will return one of the key mechanics for the series — the Witch Time system, which allows you to slow down the time, provided that the player initiates the process of dodging in the desired timing of enemy animation.

In addition, Bayonetta 3 will have a completely new gameplay mechanics, namely the ability to call on the help of powerful demonic creatures.

Players will be able to call monsters to help, taking control of them, and temporarily transform Bayonetta into alternative images — this opens up additional attacks, as well as tools for moving around the locations.

In turn, the new heroine Viola also has its own distinctive features and abilities. In particular, the girl activates Witch Time not with dodges, but with timely counterattacks with a special sword.

The sword can also be used to summon the demon Cheshire Cat — in this case, the set of Viola's movements changes, and she begins to fight using hand-to-hand attacks.

We remind that the world premiere of Bayonetta 3 will take place on October 28 only on the consoles of the Nintendo Switch family. Read more about it here.
