Singer Charli XCX will star in the rebooted horror "Faces of Death"

British pop singer Charli XCX has joined the cast of the relaunch of the horror "Faces of Death", the filming of which is now in full swing.

For the actress, this will be her film debut, where she will be accompanied by the star of the TV series "Very Strange Things" Dacre Montgomery, familiar to the audience from "Euphoria" Barbie Ferreira, and also known from the sitcom "Saved by the Bell" Josie Tothe.

Legendary Entertainment is engaged in the production of the film, and the directors are Isa Mazzei and Daniel Goldhaber, whose portfolio includes the thriller "Webcam" in 2018.

The relaunch of "Faces of Death" revolves around a traumatized girl moderator of a YouTube-like website whose job it is to weed out banned content.

One day, she stumbles upon a group recreating the murders from the original movie. However, the question arises here — are these real murders or fake?

The first part in the series of pseudo-documentary horror films "Faces of Death" was released in 1978.

In it, staged shots of death and other disgusting actions were shown to the audience, and bloody special effects were often combined with fragments of real videos.
