The fighting game Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was released on PlayStation 5 earlier this year and offered a free upgrade for owners of the PS4 version.

It would be logical to assume that the version of the project added yesterday to the extended PS Plus subscription levels also includes an update for the current generation, but unfortunately this is not the case.

At the time of writing the news, only the original release of the game from PlayStation 4, running on PS5 for backward compatibility, is available to users of the service.

This is not the first time that PS Plus subscribers on PlayStation 5 receive a game without an inappropriate update, however, in most cases, players are still given native ports of projects, if such came out.

For example, the action-adventure Immortals: Fenix Rising from Ubisoft from the same March collection includes versions for both PS4 and PS5.
