Zombie action in the open world Days Gone from Bend Studio did not receive a re-release for the PlayStation 5, as happened with Ghost of Tsushima and Death Stranding, but at one time the developers were still able to improve the game on the new Sony console as part of backward compatibility.
In January 2021, Sony Bend released a free update for Days Gone that doubled the project's performance on PS5.
Although the patch did not become a full-fledged replacement for the next-gen update, it significantly improved the performance of the game, which clearly benefited it.
New owners of the PlayStation 5 console may not be aware of the related improvements, in connection with which the team posted a "friendly reminder" on Twitter, announcing the ability to pass the days gone on PS5 at a speed of up to 60
frames per second in 4K dynamic resolution.
"You can enjoy Days Gone on PS5 in dynamic 4K at up to 60fps."
Days Gone was released on PlayStation 4 in April 2019.
Two years later, in May 2021, the computer port was released on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
