Developers from Naughty Dog released a new video about The Last of Us Part I, in which they once again emphasized that players are waiting for a remake, not a remaster of The Last of Us.

According to the authors, the game was recreated from scratch, taking into account the capabilities of the PlayStation 5 — the studio completely updated the graphics and radically changed the models of the characters, using modern animation technologies to achieve more realism in the scenes.

They are confident that The Last of Us Part I will be perceived in a new way from the very beginning of the prologue.

Naughty Dog has also made various changes to the location of the game, made enemies smarter, expanded the list of battle animations and prepared a huge number of options for users with disabilities.

For example, the remake will present a feature that will "play" dialogs through the DualSense controller in the form of tactile feedback.

This will allow deaf players to feel the emphasis in the lines and tactilely understand with what expression the words duplicated by the text on the screen are pronounced.

The authors believe that now the network compares the remake not with the original game, but with the memories from it. But when you play it, it's clear that a lot has changed.

The Last of Us Part I is released on September 2 on PlayStation 5. The PC version will be premiered later.
