The remake of Resident Evil 4 was a great critical and commercial success, and also helped Capcom to end the fiscal year with record sales figures.

The company released financial results, announcing that it managed to sell 41.7 million units of games between April 1, 2022 and March 30, 2023.

Despite the fact that the remake of Resident Evil 4 was released at the end of the fiscal year, on March 24, in the first two days it sold more than three million copies, which became one of the best starts in the franchise.

In general, sales of Capcom games for the 2022-2023 fiscal year increased by 14.4% compared to the previous year.

Resident Evil 4 was one of two games that Capcom referred to in its report, including Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.

The original Monster Hunter Rise was released in the previous fiscal year, and the Sunbreak expansion appeared in June and by January had reached more than 5 million copies sold.

In addition to these two games, Capcom also attributed the continued digital sales of the back catalog to achieving such successes.
