The cloud gaming service will cease to function on January 18, 2023, in connection with which some users began to express dissatisfaction with the loss of progress in games for which they spent hundreds or even thousands of hours.
The company itself immediately established transparency in this matter and stated that transferring saves and characters to other platforms, unfortunately, will not be possible for most titles, with some exceptions.

A statement appeared on the official Twitter account of TEST, which said that ZeniMax Online Studios and Bethesda Softworks managed to find a way out of the current situation with the closure of Google Stadia.
According to the developers, all players who played The Elder Scrolls Online through the "Stage" will be given the opportunity to transfer their accounts to a PC and save all the accumulated progress, including existing characters, purchased items, achievements, inventory, and so on.
Google also plans to reimburse the cost of all Stadia hardware, games and additional content purchased through the Google Store and Stadia stores.
Additionally, the possibility of making a proprietary Stadia controller compatible via Bluetooth with other devices is being considered.
