Mobile Battle Royale Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier will be closed on January 11, 2023.

The ability to purchase Shinra credits has already been removed from the in-game store, but the remaining currency is valid until the end of game support.

According to Square Enix, despite all the efforts of developers to regularly update the project with fresh and interesting content, the company has not been able to provide players with the experience they hoped for and deserve.

In this regard, an "extremely difficult decision" was made to stop further development of the multiplayer spin-off Final Fantasy VII.

Although there are just under three months left before the servers close, Square Enix has promised to release new updates during this period and hopes that players will continue to enjoy Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier to the very end.

Full launch of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier on iOS and Android took place less than a year ago — in November 2021. The project is distributed under a shareware model.
